Our very special Valentine featured Sheltie Shack Rescue alumni shelties are Maia (left), Crystal (right) and Luci (above).

They are the beautiful furkids of Rick and Gail Konopacki of Madison, Wisconsin.
All three of these beautiful girls hailed from the life of a commercial breeding life at different stages in their lives.
We cannot begin to thank Gail and Rick and our numerous other wonderful adopters that have taken on
with open hearts and the amazing amounts of dedication and love
these precious shelties often require in becoming happy and well adjusted family companions.
We know not all will advance to the level we would hope, and for those families...
we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, knowing what you provide
can be described as a labor of love and at other times a blessing many will never understand.

From our Shack to Yours !

We’ve had wonderful adopters and supporters that help the Sheltie Shack continue our quest to find homes for the wonderful shelties that find themselves in less than positive, sometimes horrendous situations.  Since we don’t turn any sheltie away due to age or health problems sometimes their wait for furever homes takes longer than we would like, but all have a place to be safe and loved until that time comes.

To those of you that have lost beloved pets this year, we send our sincere condolences.  We understand the hole in your heart that is left, but please remember all the love and laughter that you shared in the time you had together.  We hope in time, you'll contact us to help mend that broken heart with a sheltie that needs you more than you might need them.

If you are thinking about a gift that keeps on giving for Holidays, Birthdays, Anniversaries or to honor or remember a Loved One, consider making a donation to Sheltie Shack Rescue of Kansas.  As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, your donations are tax deductible and a note of thanks will be sent to you, along with tax documentation as well as a thank you and recognition to the recipient of your thoughtfulness.

We would like to take this time to thank all of our adopters and generous supporters for the help they have given us this year.  We couldn’t continue our "DREAM" of having no homeless or unwanted shelties without you.

May 2012 bring you love, happiness and a new furkid to enrich your life.

Thank you, Linda Kotapish, Volunteers & our Available Shelties.
